Friday Five LVIV: Holidays

1. Do you enjoy the cold weather and snow for the holidays?
Yes I do. To a point. I don’t like my schedule to be too interrupted. Though sometimes it is nice to have the schedule interrupted.

2. What is your ideal holiday celebration? How, where, with whom would you celebrate to make things perfect?
I really don’t have an ideal holiday celebration. Sometimes coordinating an ideal holiday celebration can cause madness. I enjoy spending the holidays with my family in Springfield and being a part of the Christmas Eve Cantata at church.

3. Do you do have any holiday traditions?
Other than visiting both sides of the family, not really.

4. Do you do anything to help the needy?
I help the kids in my class, buying gifts for them to give, making sure they have a coat.

5. What one gift would you like for yourself?
A leather jacket.

And yourself?

Class dismissed!

Speaking of the Christmas Eve cantata…how does the church look this year? Does it look nice…or does it look gaudy? I’ve seen it both ways!

Anna, it looks pretty tame this year. With the exception of the Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus floating in the baptistry. Not as disconcerning at the disembodied head of a mother, but strange none the less.

One thing that does bother me is that it appears that Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus are hovering above a bunch of lit candles. The first time I saw that, I was in fear of Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus going up in flames! Thankfully there is a mirror that seperates the candles and the feet of the Jesus gang.

By the way, did anyone notice I made up a new Roman Numeral?
