Friday Five LVIII: Rerun Questions

Christopher wrote this in the late afternoon:

No Friday Five questions this week. (I think that is happening more and more often.) I had considered posting an old set of Friday Five questions and answering the questions to see if the answers have changed. That is until I found this old entry:

Friday Five XII: On Vacation

Friday Five is on vacation so I am going to steal Sakamuyo’s idea. (Who has a different blog now. You can choose the skin that you want!)

Please answer the following questions in the comments.

1. How did you find this place? This place being What in Tarnation?!?!?
2. What’s your favorite part of What in Tarnation?!?!?, have you visited any other parts of the site? Have you seen the WIT forums?
3. What would you like to see here? (that isn’t here or isn’t done well enough)
4. How can I help make your day better? (as long as it doesn’t involve money.)
5. Other than What in Tarnation?!?!?, what is your favorite internet site?

Thanks!

It’s alright if you answered these questions two years ago, I have lost those comments anyway. Leave your answer to the Friday Five (On Saturday) in the comments.

Thanks!

Class dismissed!

Hmm… I can’t remember if I was still “lurking” on your blog when you posted that or if I commented, but, I’ll comment this time for sure:

    1. Sakamuyo (at the time, of course, Kevin was calling it “The Sakamuyo Log”).

    2. The blog. I didn’t know you had forums.

    3. The return of the WIT question mark to the logo?

    4. I don’t think you can — WIT already makes my day better.

    5. I don’t really have a favorite web site. Blogwise, I’ve always been a big fan of Sakamuyo. Of course, then there are all of the great “Covenant” member sites other than WIT. I dunno, I’m not good at choosing. Can I pick all four of those as my other “favorite”?

    Flip Says:

So you went for the seemingly simple but yet so difficult questions… OK, let’s see:

    1. Can’t even remember anymore. I think it was through RealLivePreacher somehow - maybe via Benediction?

    2. I guess it’ll have to be this page, since it’s the one that gets updated most often, and looks as if it’s the one that gets looked after the most. Haven’t noticed the forums.

    3. Umm… I think that has to be up to you. Depends on if you write for your own sake or for the readers mainly, I guess. It’s just interesting to hear your views and opinions about things. Mind you, the odd quizz now and then is nice, so maybe…

    4. As you didn’t mention anything about cleaning, laundrying and all that stuff… Just asking helps, as a matter of fact

    5. Hmmm… Which category? Don’t think I can name one single site

So what about you, if I may be so bold?

    1. Why did you start WIT (WIT referring to your blog in this case)?
    2. What’s your favourite part of WIT?
    3. What is the thing you keep thinking you’ll add but never get round to?
    4. What can I or anyone else do to make your day better? (No money or housework included!)
    5. Other than WIT, what is your favourite internet site?

    Flip Says:

In fact, I can’t see a link to the above mentioned forums anywhere?

    kevin Says:

    1) I have no idea. Was too long ago. Possible I posted in the comments of the original thread, though. :)
    2) I only read the blog. My favorite part of the blog is the stories about your kids.

    3) More gross & silly stories from the classroom. :)
    4) See #3. Those stories always make my day better.

    5) I don’t have one. :( Plenty blogs I enjoy reading & a couple forums I frequent. No way to pick just one & no non-relational websites I really frequent.

I guess I didn’t comment the first time around (I guess I just read it — actually I think that might have been the first post I read on WIT). I just found the original post on archive.org.

    kevin Says:

    Thanks for the link, Tim!

Looks like I /did/ post on the original thread. 2nd commenter. Didn’t have much more clue then than I do now how I found this place. :)
Completely unrelated, I’m on a new machine, running WinXP, and your blog is still the only MT blog I’ve come across that won’t remember my personal info.

    Christopher Says:

Hmmm, I guess I ate all the cookies.

    Timothy R. Butler Says:

    Kevin: you’re welcome.

Christopher: I can’t seem to get my personal information to save on your blog anymore either. (I’m running Mozilla/Epiphany on GNU/Linux… I don’t think it was working for me in Safari on Mac OS X either).

    Christopher Says:

Unfortunately I know nothing about cookies. Any suggestions?

    kevin Says:

I know nothing of cookies. I do know that sometimes just changing the cookie settings in the config can make a difference. I’d recommend looking at the MT config for the cookies and just changing it up. Either change the URL (add or remove the “www.”, possibly) or the cookie name and see what happens. :)
