I’ve got all but 10–and I haven’t yet done any “research” (as in looking at lists of Christmas songs or pulling out my holiday CDs). Do I get some sort of prize?
Oh, and could “HWGAC” also be “HWCAC”? I have an answer, but I learned the song with a “c” in the middle instead of a “g.” But I could also have the wrong song…
I’ll keep working on this and try to finish the list. What fun!

NOOOOOOOOO it’s a vile, evil game! I refuse to play. Nice blog, by the way

Those I spotted right away:
Jingle bells (almost wrote “jungle bells”, but I guess it’s the wrong season)
Oh, Holy night
Joy to the world
Hark, the Herald angel sing
Rudolph the rednosed reindeer
Silent night, holy night
Away in a manger
I would probably have to do quite a lot of research to figure all of them out

Alrightie, it’s the middle of the night, and I’m gonna give this a shot:
1. Jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way
2. Oh holy night the stars are brightly shining
3. —
4. O Christmas tree O Christmas tree how lovely are your branches
5. Joy to the world the Lord is come
6. Hark the herald angels sing glory to the newborn King
7. —
8. Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose
9. On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me
10. I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus
11. You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not shout, I’m telling you why (although I believe “shout” should be “pout”)
12. —
13. Silent night holy night all is calm all is bright
14. —
15. All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth
(…)
25. Jingle bell jingle bell jingle bell rock
26. Good King Wenceslaus looked out on the feast of Stephen
27. I saw three ships come sailing in on Christmas Day on Christmas Day
28. —
29. Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
30. Frosty the snowman was a jolly holly soul
(…)
40. What child is this, who laid to rest
(…)
46. While shepherds watched their flocks by night
I’d love to play more, really I would, but it’s 1:16am now. So instead I’ll give YOU a puzzler to figure out: Which song is this?
HHHHHHHHHH

can anyone please tell me what WUNWTAGC stands for I have something like this but a little diff thanks a bunch
Posted by Kathy on 11.12.04 at 9:49 am
I must have the same list as DebShea and Janette. What would WUNWTRAGC and CITWSPTC stand for?
Posted by Jeri on 11.12.04 at 9:49 am
WUNWTAGC has an extra letter but it stands for a really obscure song, “Way up North where the air gets cold.” I have not idea about the second one.
Posted by Patti on 11.12.04 at 9:49 am
WUNWTAGC is an old Beach Boys Christmas song from the 1960’s….as far as CITWSPTC…I would like to know the answer to that one myself
Posted by Leah on 11.12.04 at 9:49 am
this took me FOREVER but my brother eventually found it.. CITWSPTC- Candles In The Window Shadows Painting The Ceiling… it’s called Somewhere In My Memory.. it’s actually a song from Home Alone :o]
