What In Tarnation?!?!? In the Classroom

300 is a movie based off a graphic novel by Frank Miller. The Graphic novel is a retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae.

The actual event is pretty interesting.

I know nothing of the Frank Miller graphic novel.

The movie 300 is a pile of rubish. Avoid at all cost.

Why? The movie is a study of over the top.

• Too much narration.
• Too stylized.
• Too much slow motion.
• Too much fast motion.
• Too much poor acting.
• Too many styles in the script.
• Too much CGI.
• Too much CGI blood that doesn’t land on any of the 300.
• Too much bad math.
• Too much of a horrible finale.
• Too much bad music
• Too many horribly produced sound effects.
• Nasty sound mixing.
• Too little clothing.

My Dad caught the History Channel special on the battle. It sounded much better than the movie. I have heard good things about the graphic novel, and the wikipedia article isn’t all that bad. Catch one of those instead of the movie. Believe me you will thank me.
